Tax Compliance and Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely tax data, schedules, returns, and supporting documentation in line with statutory and corporate deadlines.

• Support corporate income tax, deferred tax, withholding tax, and other applicable tax compliance activities.

• Prepare book-to-tax reconciliations, tax true-up entries, and related journal entries.

• Support quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements, including balance sheet reviews, forecasts, and required corporate or sector submissions.

• Maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready tax records and reconciliations.

Transfer Pricing

• Prepare and maintain local transfer pricing documentation and supporting data for the relevant legal entities.

• Prepare segmentation and analytical schedules required for transfer pricing reviews and audits.

• Coordinate inputs from Finance and business stakeholders and support external tax consultants during transfer pricing engagements.

• Assist with country-by-country reporting and other transfer pricing-related submissions, as applicable.

Business Advisory and Reviews

• Review business contracts and capital expenditure transactions from a tax perspective and highlight potential exposures.

• Respond to day-to-day tax queries and provide practical guidance under the direction of the Tax Associate Manager.

• Work with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other functions to ensure transactions are assessed and documented appropriately.

• Conduct tax research, monitor legislative developments, and summarize potential business impacts.

Tax Accounting, Controls, and Closing

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities related to tax.

• Prepare and reconcile tax balances and ensure accurate recording of tax liabilities.

• Prepare control evidence and documentation required under applicable internal control and governance frameworks.

• Investigate reconciling items, follow up on open actions, and support timely issue resolution.

• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, data quality, controls, and standardization.

Audits and Stakeholder Support

• Support tax audits, inspections, and information requests by preparing data, reconciliations, and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with external advisors and auditors and track requests through closure.

• Support interactions with the Egyptian Tax Authority, governmental affairs, and relevant stakeholders when required.

• Contribute to regional, sector, and corporate tax projects and respond to follow-up queries.

• Handle confidential information responsibly and comply with company policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

• Professional or postgraduate tax/accounting qualification is an advantage.

• Membership in a recognized Egyptian taxation or accounting association is an advantage.

• Good knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations and core tax compliance principles.

Experience

• Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience in taxation within a corporate organization or tax consultancy firm.

• Experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, reporting, transfer pricing, or audit support.

• FMCG or multinational company experience is an advantage.

Skills and Capabilities

• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and document discipline.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

• Clear written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.

• Effective collaboration with cross-functional and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system is an advantage.

• Ownership mindset, integrity, confidentiality, and willingness to learn.
