Facility Project Manager

Job Description

The Facility Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing facility-related projects from initiation to completion. This includes renovations, new construction, space planning, maintenance upgrades, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role requires effective collaboration with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Project Management:

-Plan, initiate, and manage facility projects including construction, remodeling, and maintenance.
-Define project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
-Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.

Budget & Cost Control:

-Develop and manage project budgets.
-Review and approve vendor bids and contractor invoices.
-Ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial limits.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination:

-Source, evaluate, and manage external contractors and service providers.
-Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Compliance & Safety:

-Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., fire codes, ADA, OSHA).
-Conduct risk assessments and implement safety plans.

Communication & Reporting:

-Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
-Prepare and present progress reports and post-project evaluations.

Facilities Oversight:

-Work closely with facility management teams to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
-Support ongoing facility improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities or construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction practices, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
