Technical Support Specialist Intern

Pinerium is seeking a proactive, customer-focused, and technically driven Technical Support Specialist Intern to support technical assistance, troubleshooting, system support, and operational technology activities across the organization.
This internship is designed for candidates interested in IT support, helpdesk operations, system administration, business applications, and technology services. The intern will work closely with Technical Support Specialists, Engineers, and Operations Teams to gain hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting, user support, ticket management, system maintenance, and operational support activities.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving technical problems while delivering excellent user experiences in a technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Assist in providing technical support for hardware, software, systems, and operational technology issues.
- Support troubleshooting activities related to devices, applications, and user access.
- Help resolve basic technical issues and escalate complex cases when necessary.
- Assist users with technical inquiries and system guidance.
- Support maintaining service quality and user satisfaction.
Ticket Management & Issue Resolution
- Assist in tracking, updating, and managing support tickets.
- Support issue categorization, prioritization, and follow-up activities.
- Help document troubleshooting steps and resolution outcomes.
- Assist in monitoring support requests and response timelines.
- Support root cause analysis and issue tracking activities.
System & Device Support
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining company devices and systems.
- Support software installation, updates, and user account management activities.
- Help maintain system functionality and operational readiness.
- Assist in onboarding technical setup activities for new employees.
- Support routine system checks and maintenance tasks.
Documentation & Operational Support
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, support guides, and knowledge base materials.
- Support maintaining accurate support records and operational logs.
- Help document recurring issues and recommended solutions.
- Assist in testing and validation activities following issue resolution.
- Support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Learning & Professional Development
- Participate in technical support training and IT learning sessions.
- Learn troubleshooting methodologies, support workflows, and operational best practices.
- Stay updated with operating systems, business applications, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in Pinerium Academy learning programs.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Final-year student or fresh graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related field.
- Strong interest in technical support, IT operations, and technology solutions.
- Basic understanding of operating systems, hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with helpdesk systems, SaaS platforms, or business applications is a plus.
- Basic understanding of cloud services, user management, or technical troubleshooting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Additional Requirement: Candidate must have their own laptop.
- Must be a non-smoker (all types).
