Budgeting & Costing Manager

Job Description
1. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle for all manufacturing entities under Zain Group and cost centers.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and scenario analysis based on market, production, and operational inputs.
- Consolidate financial plans and analyze variances vs. actual performance.
- Liaise with production, maintenance, procurement, and logistics to gather inputs for operational budgets.
2. Product & Process Costing
- Develop and maintain accurate standard costing for all manufactured products.
- Ensure correct allocation of direct material, labor, and manufacturing overheads.
- Monitor actual production costs and investigate significant variances.
- Maintain and improve Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing cost accuracy.
3. Inventory & Overhead Costing
- Analyze and control inventory valuations, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Ensure accurate month-end closing of manufacturing cost elements.
- Conduct regular reviews of overhead absorption rates and cost drivers.
4. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Provide cost analysis for new product introductions (NPIs), pricing decisions, and make-or-buy analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives with financial data (e.g., lean manufacturing, scrap reduction).
- Analyze Factory performance and identify cost improvement opportunities.
5. Internal Controls & Systems
- Design and enforce internal controls for cost tracking, reporting, and budget approvals.
- Optimize the use of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Alpha) for cost reporting and budgeting.
- Standardize costing and budgeting templates across Factorys/companies.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Factory Managers, Production Heads, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
- Participate in CAPEX planning and post-investment analysis.
Job Requirements
- Advanced Excel, ERP system proficiency (Odoo & Alpha preferred), and cost module knowledge.
- Knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP for manufacturing costing.
