Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Purpose:
Our organization is looking for a senior Procurement Specialist to join our team and focus on locating suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring that all products and services purchased meet the organization’s specifications.
You will work with leaders in our organization to understand the needs of our organization and ensure we achieve our supply goals in a timely manner.
Senior Procurement Specialist Duties
- Find and select Suppliers
- Negotiate contracts
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely of goods and services
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
- Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered
- Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records
- Attend meetings with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company
- Coordinating with the requisitions department to obtain required administrative information and documents necessary for processing the procurement
- Reviewing and updating the list of contracts and keeping track of their renewal dates
- Searching for global suppliers for international purchases
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement department in Pharmaceuticals/ cosmeceuticals industries.
- Good command of English Language,
- Good level of computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Highly developed attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Oracle experience is preferred.
