Document Controller
Sukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialised mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements.
The Role
The Document Controller is directly responsible for managing all SGM documentations and ensuring the site’s Document Management System (DMS) is properly maintained, accurate, and kept completely up to date. Working within the HSES department, this role focuses on structured document control processes, archiving, and coordinating document reviews with all site departments.

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Schedule: 20/10 working roster

The Key Responsibilities
Document Management System (DMS) Oversight: Actively manage and maintain the SGM hierarchy of document management, including controlled, master, and obsolete records. Ensure the database is accurate and fully up to date.
Compliance & Coordination: Manage and coordinate with all site departments regarding standard document periodic review dates. Issue timely compliance notifications to relevant owners.
Archiving & Formatting: Implement and uphold structured document control processes, including archiving, file naming conventions, and system database maintenance. Utilize SharePoint for data handling.
Bilingual Documentation: Handle bilingual document management needs smoothly, applying strong translation relevant experience.
HSE Support: Assist the HSES Projects Supervisor in aligning documentation with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards.
The Requirements
Education & Certifications: University Degree or equivalent is required,
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience is required. A proven track record operating within a similar heavy industry environment (mining, large-scale factories, or major project execution) is strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills: Sound practical knowledge of structured document control processes, archiving, and file naming conventions. Advanced, above-average practical mastery of Microsoft Word is non-negotiable, alongside competency in Excel and PowerPoint .
Technical Proficiency: Experience with hierarchy document management, SharePoint, and ISO standards is highly advantageous .
Language: Good command of English is required .
