This landmark project, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers, will connect 60 cities across Egypt, transforming transportation for both passengers and goods. Today, we are recruiting for a  Senior Customs Officer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

• Coordinate customs clearance activities for incoming shipments with offshore entities, customers, and the Egyptian customs broker.
• Prepare customs documentation to ensure all import and export shipments comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Monitor and maintain up-to-date knowledge of import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, and other custom-related matters.
• Coordinate the delivery of shipments from ports and airports to the appropriate warehouses and installation sites.
• Maintain and update accurate reporting and filing systems for all shipments.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Business degree in administration or an equivalent qualification from a reputable university/college.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• experience in Project administration, preferably within the transportation or railway industry.
• Strong in administration, communication, business English, teamwork, quality focus, and target orientation.
• Proficient in MS Office Package.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
