Employee & Labour Relations Specialist

Medtronic seeks an Employee & Labour Relations Specialist based in Cairo to provide expert guidance on workplace matters, investigations, and compliance across North Africa and the Middle East. The role partners with HR, Legal, and business leaders to manage complex employee relations issues while ensuring adherence to local employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead case management for disciplinary matters, workplace concerns, performance issues, and involuntary terminations
• Coach business leaders on employee relations practices, policy application, and organisational restructuring
• Conduct workplace investigations with Legal & Compliance to gather documentation and assess findings
• Facilitate conflict resolution through mediation and workplace intervention techniques
• Manage restructuring programmes ensuring compliance with local employment requirements and accurate case documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years employee relations, HR, or employment law experience
• Deep expertise in Egyptian labour law and autonomous decision-making capability
• Demonstrated experience managing disciplinary cases, investigations, and performance improvement programmes
• Multi-country stakeholder management experience across North Africa and Middle East region
• Proficiency interpreting HR policies and applying country-specific employment legislation
• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience leading restructuring initiatives and workforce transition activities
