Role Overview
We are seeking a music-obsessed Account Executive to serve as the critical bridge between our roster of artists, talent managers, and labels and our internal digital operations team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day client communications, translate artist needs into actionable operational tasks, and oversee video and audio distribution workflows, with a heavy emphasis on YouTube platform strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Artist & Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for artists and management teams, handling daily requests, asset handoffs, and operational questions with high empathy and professionalism.
- YouTube Operations: Oversee client YouTube channels, including YouTube CMS management, Content ID rules, asset claiming, rights administration, metadata optimization, and platform monetization strategy.
- Distribution Coordination: Track digital release pipelines across YouTube and major DSPs, ensuring audio, video, artwork, and metadata meet delivery timelines and platform requirements.
- Cross-Functional Workflow: Act as the direct link between clients and internal technical/operations teams to resolve copyright claims, distribution bottlenecks, or technical errors quickly.
- Client Reporting: Pull, interpret, and deliver channel performance metrics, content analytics, and royalty insights to artists and managers with actionable optimization tips.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in account management, partner operations, or client services within the music industry, MCN, or digital media space.
- YouTube Mastery: Deep operational knowledge of YouTube CMS, Content ID, rights management, YouTube Studio analytics, and platform best practices.
- Distribution Understanding: Solid grasp of the digital music supply chain, metadata standards (ISRC/UPC), and digital service provider (DSP) release operations.
- Artist Relations: Proven ability to build trust with artists, managers, and creative stakeholders in a fast-moving, high-touch environment.
- Operational Skill: Exceptional organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple incoming client requests simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Industry Passion: An authentic passion for current music, digital creator culture, and evolving media technology trends.
