Role Overview
Axis is seeking a Corporate Lawyer with 3–5 years of experience to manage corporate and commercial legal matters and support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working at a reputable law firm and preferably experience advising startups or high-growth companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, and other business arrangements.
Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Support corporate structuring, shareholder agreements, and board documentation.
Assist in fundraising transactions, investor documentation, and due diligence processes.
Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations.
Develop and maintain internal legal policies and compliance procedures.
Coordinate with external counsel when necessary.
Support M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships as required.
Advise internal teams on employment and operational legal matters.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree is a plus.
3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate/commercial law.
Mandatory prior experience working at a reputable law firm.
Strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
Solid understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
Preferred: Experience working with or advising startups and high-growth companies.
